It has been 2 months since Netflix announced the release of Cursed starring our favourite 13 Reasons Why actress Katherine Langford. And now, Netflix has finally announced the premiere date and it is closer than you think! Cursed premieres on Netflix, July 17, 2020.
For those of you who hasn’t heard of Cursed, let us once again give you a short synopsis of the series. Based on the New York Times bestselling book, Cursed is a re-imagination of the Arthurian legend. The story is told though the eyes of Nimue (Katherine Langford), a young woman with a mysterious gift who is destined to become a powerful and tragic Lady of the Lake. After her mom’s death, she finds an unexpected partner in Arthur, a humble mercenary, in a quest to find Merlin and deliver an ancient sword. Over the course of her journey, Nimue will become a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrifying Red Paladins and their complicit King Uther.
If you’re not the type that likes to read and really want to know what the story is about, here is the trailer of series. We’ve seen it and it is AMAZING! We were not expecting this amount of action but we guess that since it is kind of like Game of Thrones, we should have known better.
There are 10 one-hour long episodes. Let’s also not forget the amazing cast, Katherine Langford (Nimue), Devon Terrell (Arthur), Gustaf Skarsgård (Merlin), Daniel Sharman (Weeping Monk), Sebastian Armesto (King Uther Pendragon), Matt Stokoe (Gawain), Lily Newmark (Pym), Shalom Brune-Franklin (Igraine), Emily Coates (Sister Iris), Billy Jenkins (Squirrel), Bella Dayne (Red Spear), Peter Mullan (Father Carden).
