As we continue to adapt to the changes during COVID19, a mask has quickly become our new ‘best friend’ whenever we head outside. And Uniqlo is finally going to release their AIRism Masks from June 19.At first, Uniqlo was reluctant to produce personal protective equipment but due to the high influx of customer requests for them, they decided to make them.
The mask is part of Uniqlo’s ‘LifeWear’ line. It utilises a patent-pending three layer AIRism structure with an outer layer that has UV protection qualities that black 90% of ultraviolet rays. Behind that is a high-performance filter with 99% BFE (Bacterial Filtration Efficiency). Why is that filter so amazing? It blocks water droplets, bacteria and virus particles and pollen. The last layer is a non-woven cotton that does not absorb sweat to remain cool which makes wearing the mask much more comfortable.
The AIRism mask is sold in packs of threes and available in three sizes, retailing at (SGD$12.80 (990 yen). The mask can be machine-wash with detergent and remain effective up to 20 washes.
The mask is set to release at UNIQLO Japan June 19 and keep a lookout for Singapore’s release date.
