Adobe releases Photoshop camera app with AI-powered lenses

Adobe has launched its Photoshop camera application for both Android and iOS devices. The app was previewed last November uses Adobe’s artificial intelligence technology, Sensei. There are a range of filters and camera effects in real-time as you capture images.

The Adobe Photoshop Camera app is perfect for our world of stylised, filtered photos. Unlike some of the other Adobe app, like Photoshop Express, traditional photo editing is secondary in the new Photoshop Camera app. Adobe’s Sensei AI technology takes Photoshop Camera app to the next level by allowing us to apply filters and effects before or after you take a photo. It also includes some fun sky or background replacements options.

But that’s not to say that photo editing functions are not in the app. You are still able to use Photoshop tools like the Magic Wand took to automatically fix portrait lighting, remove any distortion and apply other edits based on your photos. And of course normal editing functions like adjusting shadows, contrasts and highlights are included as well.

If you’ve never used anything from Adobe, this would be a great starting point. All you need is a mobile phone, download the app and you got yourself your first Adobe software.
