Watch “The Lord of the Rings” cast reunite on Josh Gad’s YouTube series ‘Reunited Apart’

Josh Gad reunited the cast of The Lord of the Rings trilogy in his YouTube series Reunited Apart. If you do not know who Josh Gad is, he is the voice of Olaf in Frozen. In the latest episode of his YouTube series, Gad hosted a big video call with Sean Astin, Elijah Wood, Orlando Bloom, Sir Ian McKellen and more on Zoom. This episode in particular raised money for the organisation, No Kid Hungry.

The 50 minutes episode saw The 50-minute episode saw Elijah Wood (Frodo), Sean Astin (Samwise Gamgee), Sir Ian McKellen (Gandalf), Andy Serkis (Gollum), Dominic Monaghan (Merry Brandybuck), Billy Boyd (Pippin Took), Orlando Bloom (Legolas), Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn), Sean Bean (Boromir), John Rhys-Davies (Gimli), Liv Tyler (Arwen), Miranda Otto (Eowyn) and Karl Urban (Eomer), director Peter Jackson, writer Philippa Boyens and composer Howard Shore reminiscing about the trilogy.

The cast also reenacted some of their iconic scenes. Even Taika Waititi joined in on the call. He had some behind-the-scenes questions for the amazing cast. The episode ended with Boyd performing “The Edge of Night”, the song Pippin sings for Denethor in The Return of the King. If you do not know this song, you are not part of the fellowship.

But our favourite part of the episode is definitely when the actors shared their matching tattoos (the word ‘nine’ in Elvish). How awesome is that!! Matching tattoos! Sir Ian McKellen pointed to his shoulder and said “When I read this, upside down of course, it spells Gucci.”
