Is it just us or are there a lot more collaborations this year? Next in line, we have Vans and National Geographic. At first, we thought that it is slightly weird that National Geographic is collaborating with Vans. It just doesn’t really fit. But it actually kind of works. It is strange enough for it to actually seem cool.
Vans will be releasing 5 of the more popular styles including, Authentic, Era, Old Skool, Sk8-Hi and Slip-On silhouettes. Each pair carries a different design from the National Geographic magazines. Each pair includes co-branding throughout the styles. And it comes with a vulcanised midsole and a waffle-styled outsole for just that extra comfort and durability.
The Era is covered with popular National Geographic magazine covers throughout the years with the classic Nat Geo yellow as a border distinguishing the issues.
The Old-Skool incorporates imagery of exotic animals including a wolf and a tree frog on the sides. The Slip-On features Greenland’s Pine Island Glacier.
The Authentic showcases an image of a school of fish throughout the blue canvas upper. The Sk8-Hi keeps a black canvas upper to keep it simple. And Nat Geo’s signature yellow branding embroidered around the heel.
Vans x National Geographic will be available early June. Keep a look out on Vans.com.sg.
Alternatively, here are 4 popular shoe brands that are launching Pride-themed shoes – Adidas, Under Armour, Converse, Nike.
