Music For A Cause is coming back for its fifth and final act on May 28 and 29. The only difference is it will be held online, specifically on Facebook Live. Music For A cause is Singapore’s first and only charitable music festival. It is organised by Love Action Project and powered by national Youth Council Singapore.

This music festival is well-knowns for bringing together local musicians and at the same time highlight on the different social causes and support local non-profit organisation. When we found out about this, we were really shocked that we have never heard of this before. We must have been living under a rock. But anyways let’s show some love by going to their Facebook Live on May 28 and 29. There are over two sessions each day: 4pm – 6.15pm and 7pm – 9.15pm.

This year, 12 Music For A Cause alumni would be featuring in the line-up, including  Jack and Rai, MICapella, 53A, Shye and Charlie Lim. Not to mention there will be a virtual meet and greet, so come and say hello to your favourite local musicians.

Which organisations did Music For A Cause team up with this year? SGMUSO and Hawkers United. Music For A Cause are supporting local musicians, hawkers and frontline workers with:

#FundAGig, to encourage musicians to stream their gig live, in which they will be remunerated with a stipend of $100 to 300 per livestream.

#FundAHawker as it supports five local hawkers. Chon Sing Huat Cooked Food, Grandma Mee Siam, Soon Hock Hokkien Mee, Balqis Favourite Nasi Padang, and R.R Indian Food Stall – through the purchase of their food and drinks for distribution to our frontline workers.

#HawkersXFrontliners distributes the purchased items to frontline workers including healthcare workers, delivery personnel, F&B service providers and social distancing ambassadors, to thank them for all their hard work.
