Apple just announced a 2020 update to their 13-inch MacBook Pro which is not yet available to order from Singapore Store (weirdly). The new Macbook Pro has double the storage as well as a much faster 3733MHz LPDDR4 memory, which are taken advantage of by their updated 10th Generation Intel CPU chips.
The new MacBook Pro 13-inch appearance is svery similar to it’s predecessor still, with general upgrades all across the board, but there are a few key upgrade that is worth looking out for:
For the past few years, Apple has been receiving complaints on their Butterfly Keyboard on MacBooks, where it’s both uncomfortable and difficult to type on. The 2020 refresh for both Air & Pro models has been updated to the Magic Keyboard, a much welcome upgrade that many of us will appreciate.
10th Generation Intel Processors
According to Apple’s Press Release: “the new processors will be up to 80 percent faster graphics performance and make 16GB of faster 3733MHz memory standard on select configurations”. A very exciting prospect for those who are looking to get a new Macbook Pro 13 Inch, but do take note, only the higher priced 13-Inch Model comes with a 10th Generation chip as well as the faster Ram. The base model still uses 8th Generation Chip with 2133MHz LPDDR3 memory which will result in a much slower and sluggish experience.
With the Pandemic situation happening around the world. Laptops have never become even more relevant. Those who need an upgrade might want to consider the newly refreshed 2020 Macbook Pro 13inch.
