Vegan Burger Review – Vegan Burg Singapore

Plant based burger?? Vegan Burg claim to be the world’s first 100% plant-based burger. But is it actually comparable? Can you taste the difference? Or is it just another company capitalising on the vegan and vegetarian trend? Continue on with our Vegan Burger Review Singapore!

Brutal Asians went to review the $10.90 Char-Grilled Satay Vegan burger at Vegan Burg to see if it is comparable to an actual burger.

Before you go and try it for yourself and waste your own money, read on and let us determine if it is really a viable option.

What does it mean by not real meat?

The ‘meat’ is in fact made out of soy products. But who cares about that, why you are really reading this is article is to determine if it tastes nice and whether you should waste your hard-earned cash on a burger that isn’t really a burger.

So, let’s get into it.

Overall this is one of the best tasting burgers on the market. The satay sauce, pineapple, lettuce and cucumber gave the burger a refreshing taste and complemented each other very well. This is what made the burger worth it.

But onto the vegan meat itself…

Luckily the satay sauce was able to disguise the taste of the ‘fake burger’. It tasted nothing like what an actual burger is supposed to taste like. It was absolutely revolting. The ‘fake meat’ was stringy and looked like very, very processed real meat. Not to mention the ‘fake meat’ didn’t actually taste like anything itself. It was only through the perfection of their satay sauce that they were able to drown out the taste of the vegan burger itself, which consequently gave the burger an overall good taste.

So, would I visit Vegan Burg again?

Yes, probably. The Vegan Burgers are good, don’t get me wrong. But don’t go to Vegan Burg if you are wanting an authentic burger and its taste. Only visit Vegan Burg if you are looking for an alternative and are of the understanding that you will not get anything that tastes like real meat. Or if you want to support the message behind their company and what they stand for.

Overall, the Vegan Burger is BRUTALLY APPROVED.
