Located at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands Singapore, this is the only Black Tap chain restaurant in Asia! Founded by Joe Isidori, Black Tap first started off as a 15-seater burger joint in the SoHo neighborhood. Now, they have over 10 restaurants spanning the globe serving their specialty. BUT, we also heard that their Crazy Milkshakes are to die for! So instead of going for their usual Burgers & Beers, we are going to try Black Tap Milkshake and satisfy our sweet tooth with this review!

Black Tap’s Crazy Milkshakes’ different colours and designs means that they are all visually appealing, especially Black Tap’s Chocolate Peppermint Cheesecake Shake. It had a huge slice of Cheesecake, an abundance of whipped cream drizzled with melted chocolate. The sides of the glass were also covered in melted chocolate that are used to attach the peppermint sweets. The whole glass was then frozen to maintain it’s solid structure. Which created a masterpiece that is definitely Instagram worthy! But is the Chocolate Peppermint much more than just Instagram worthy?
First and foremost, Chocolate Peppermint CheeseCake Shake was wayyyyy too sweet for my sweet-o-meter. It gave me a metaphorical diabetes at my first mouthful of it. I mean, yes this is meant to satisfy a sweet tooth, but please, do not destroy the said tooth.
The portion is humongous as well. It’s suitable for those with a huge appetite or share the milkshake with another (Black Tap has a good ambience for a date too).
Outside of the sweetness, the cheesecake was simply sensational! Black Tap enhance it even further with the other ingredients on the shake. First, there was the creaminess of the cheesecake coupled with a hint of chocolate and later, you get a minty aftertaste. Also, the milkshake itself was creamy, thick and rich. It even contained small bits of chocolate which had a pleasant crunchy texture.
Black Tap’s Chocolate Peppermint Cheesecake Shake is very wallet destroying, costing $22 per glass, but is the price worth it? Yes! Because the milkshakes are an experience. It is something everyone should try at least one (though most people would probably just stop at one). Now, pick up the phone and give your crush a call.
